Metrologic has just launched Metrolog V25, a new version of its inspection software that introduces a refreshed interface, CAD-free programming, an integrated artificial intelligence assistant, and a digital twin even closer to physical reality. The goal is simple: to simplify the daily work of metrology professionals and accelerate production.
An interface that adapts to you
There is no longer a single interface style for everyone. Metrolog V25 allows you to choose between Light, Dark, and Automatic (System) themes, depending on the working environment and user preference.
What this means in practice: less visual fatigue during long inspection sessions, a more pleasant daily experience, and faster icon recognition thanks to a harmonised design, which reduces the learning curve for new employees.
Programme without a CAD model
Do you often work without an available CAD model? The new CAD-free programming allows you to define nominal values directly by probing, with a new safety (clearance) mode that ensures collision-free paths.
What this means in practice: a CMM programme can now be built by simple manual teaching, without a prior modelling step – a great time-saver for on-site teams, especially in markets where CAD is not always available. Fewer back-and-forths between the machine and the computer, more productivity.
Copilot Inside: instant answers without leaving the software
A chat assistant based on AI is now integrated directly into Planner, Silma, and Metrolog. No more searching documentation, interrupting a colleague, or calling support.
What this means in practice: teams can ask questions in natural language and get immediate guidance on functionalities and workflows, without leaving the application. Less time wasted, more autonomy.
Digital Twin++: even closer synchronisation with reality
The digital twin takes another step forward, with real-time synchronisation between the virtual and physical worlds, providing greater confidence in programme building.
What this means in practice: what you see on the screen corresponds exactly to what will happen on the part, a drastic reduction in errors and testing, especially valuable in CMMs with complex movement paths.
Hardware compatibility and measurement precision
Metrolog V25 maintains full compatibility with existing hardware (Coord3, etc.) and introduces improvements in data processing algorithms for even more reliable measurement precision.
